On behalf of the committee for 2017 I would like to welcome all our players, coaches, members, partners and volunteers to the 127th season at the Cheltenham Football Netball Club.
127 years is a long time for any sporting club to be in existence and can only be achieved thanks to the tireless work of our loyal volunteers whose efforts behind the scenes have made the club what it is today. We thank everyone who have come before us for their sterling contributions to the Cheltenham Football Netball Club.
Across all grades, we have raised 28 premiership flags, with nine coming at senior level – a figure everyone at the club is striving to increase in 2017 – and seen local products go on to play footy at the highest level in the VFL/AFL.
We would like to wish Des Ryan and his coaching team all the best for the upcoming season and extend a warm welcome to Kieran Nolan, who has joined Al Garlick as reserves co-coach, and Stephen Brosnahan who will steer the Chieftains, while Greg Barclay will again do an outstanding job in guiding the Under 19s.
Again I would like to welcome you all down to Jack Barker Oval in 2017.
