Reserves complete flag romp

Cheltenham stormed to its second reserves premiership in eight seasons with a comprehensive victory over minor premiers Dingley at Springvale Reserve.

Kicking with the aid of a strong breeze, a four goal to zero opening term paved the way for the victory, but it was also the Rosellas water-tight defence that played a huge role keeping the Dingoes to just two majors for the entire game.

Chris Graham was rewarded for his strong performance with the Malcolm Medal for best afield.

Despite playing in the finals every year since 2002, it is just the fourth flag for the reserves in over 125 years.
