Justin Pickering
A stylish player, he played 59 games and kicked 54 goals for Richmond from 1988-91. In his debut season, he won the VFL’s Recruit of the Year, Richmond’s Best First Year Player award as well as finishing third in the club Best and Fairest award.
Following his career at the top level, he spent time two seasons with Seymour, then a season with Frankston in the VFA, where he played alongside current Cheltenham senior coach, Des Ryan.
Justin joined the Rosellas as an assistant coach in 2020, where alongside Des and fellow assistant, Brad Berry, tasted premiership success in 2023.
Following Des’, retirement from coaching, ‘Pickers’ was appointed Senior Coach in October 2023.
